Thames Valley Police said this morning that the woman has since been released on police bail. She is due to return to the police station on August 23 to answer bail.

Two teenagers, a 17-year-old boy and 16-year-old girl, were arrested in April on suspicion of Mr Crowley’s murder.

The 50-year-old was found dead at his home in Brome Place on April 24. He was reportedly assaulted the night before outside the Underhill Circus shops, but did not seek medical attention at the time.

A 31-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, both from Oxford, remain on bail – having been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and assisting an offender.

Another woman, aged 35 and also from Oxford, was also arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and assisting an offender. She was released under investigation.
